ART WITH FORCE AND HYPERSPACE (2015-2017)

This series of drawings, paintings and digital works pay a very clear homage and loving tribute to George Lucas' Star Wars (1977) and the follow-up films The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and The Return of the Jedi (1983). They were embarked upon in the Autumn of 2015 as the audience and fandom anticipated the return of the film series in The Force Awakens (2015), and some of the artwork directly responds to this first entry in the sequel trilogy. A selection from this collection appeared in a special exhibition of Star Wars-inspired artwork 'The Fans Awaken' at The Science and Media Museum in Bradford in December 2015.
